Sales Assistant In Ski Resort Immed Start at Chardons

Chalet Chardons are looking for an assistant to support our expanding sales and marketing team.

With the ability to ski most days

Going into a winter ski season role and could be a permanent year-round role for the right applicant

The role does not necessarily require sales experience, however, they must be driven and happy working to targets; as well as having an eye for detail and accuracy, plus strong customer service standards. Marketing experience, IT skills, or graphic design skills would all be a bonus, however, this is not essential. Whilst most of our clients are British, French-speaking would be a big bonus and would have lots of opportunities to practice your language skills.

Living in the beautiful french alps with world-class skiing, biking, hiking, climbing and an abundance of other sports on your doorstep. This role would suit someone looking to escape the rat race and looking to live in a beautiful mountain / outdoors environment. 

Would consider applicants who may have worked in a very different field looking to take a career break for a different challenge and a seasonal experience. Working directly under and with the Director of Sales, this fast-paced role would suit someone who is organized, reliable, works well under pressure, motivated and hard-working. The job works on a mix of shift types including split shifts (am & pm) allowing plenty of time for summer and winter pursuits during the day.

In the winter we are a team of approximately 40 people in a fun, friendly atmosphere. It is a British-owned business with the majority of staff and guests speaking English.

The package would include accommodation, salary and targets (to be discussed) and would also include other typical seasonnaire benefits such as meals during the winter season, the full winter ski package (pass, hire, insurance, etc) and access to a range of summer activities such as mountain biking, climbing, hiking etc.

We are very open-minded to potential applicants and would also consider a couple if the partner could add value to another element of our business such as hospitality, IT, management, accounts, trade work, etc.

Requirements

Essential Requirements:
Natural people person. Highly empathetic with the ability to quickly build rapport
Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
Proactive self-starter (someone who will take initiative to solve a problem rather than waiting for it to be solved)
High attention to detail
Organized, with the ability to handle multiple different responsibilities in parallel
Commercial mindset
Strong work ethic and customer service skills

Desirable, but not essential:
Sales background or strong admin background ready to adapt to a sales environment
French Language
Marketing experience
Digital Marketing Experience e.g. Social Media management, website administration, SEO.
Photography/Graphic design skills
Interest in winter sports
