Description
The Guest Relations Rep is a key member of our team. Based in a 120 guest hotel located next to the slopes and main chair lift in the central part of one of the world’s leading ski areas – Paradiski, this customer facing role is varied, working within a close team of front of house staff. The role covers mainly evening working hours when the guests come back from skiing, so this position allows for plenty of time for skiing or snowboarding during the day.
Duties include:
• Serving in the bar and restaurant with other front of house staff
• Welcoming and checking guests into the hotel
• Representing the hotel with a positive attitude, professionalism and availability
• Checking the quality of service in the bar and restaurant
• Checking the quality of cleanliness
• Being a ‘first point of contact’ for guests and staff during the evening service
• Responding to guest queries such as room requests, ski school bookings and advice on local activities
• Creating a good rapport with our customers
• Communicating with the manager and taking an active role in the weekly staff meeting
Requirements
• Be responsible, reliable and flexible in their duties with a friendly and positive attitude
• Have experience in a customer facing role
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have a high standard of customer service
• Have good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Be able to work alone or in a team and respond well to management
• Be able to instruct other team members
• Be committed to completing the whole season to the end of April
• Be able to communicate in English and French
